About
Larissa Leaves is a self-taught instrumentalist based in the Black Forest, Germany.
Through a distinctive percussive playing style and the use of effects, she creates instrumental soundscapes that tell stories—drawing inspiration from rhythms across diverse regions of the world. As an autodidact, she performs in a variety of dynamic and cross-genre formations, with a deep dedication to expanding the rhythmic possibilities of the 'Ukulele.
Currently, she is part of the different bands and works as a music teacher. In addition, she performs concerts across Europe in various collaborations and projects.
In 2025, she was honored as International Ukulele Player of the Year at the annual Ukulele Awards. Constantly seeking new challenges, she follows wherever her heartbeat leads her.
Since 2026, Larissa has been the first European ambassador for TyDe Music, a luthiery based in Nevada, USA.
